Montien House - SHA Plus

Great value, we booked a private pool villa and it was such a great decision! The villa was very private and we really had a fantastic stay. Staff and housekeeping were very nice, location was great, right by the beach, and still in downtown Chaweng, just a short walk to the shopping centre, restaurants and nightlife. I am so pleased we found Montien House.

The staff at the hotel was so amazing and accommodating! They offered to call transportation to all areas around the island and could even help you book tours and other things to do. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from the breakfast area, and the food was delicious as well. The location in terms of the city is pretty good since it’s next to a lot of bars, restaurants, and shops although the mall and night market is a bit of a walk it’s definitely still walking distance.

Lovely room and big bathroom. Plenty of storage space. Loved that it's like a little chalet. Decor is very dark so can make it feel smaller but there are plenty of lights. Seating area with a drying rack out the front too. Pool was a great size and so warm. Also have pool towels. Right on the seafront with a beautiful view. Great location. Close enough to the restaurants and bars but away from all the noise. Just at the end of the road or a few places down on the beach. The planes do travel right above the hotel but the earliest they started was around 8am.

This is not the first time we have stayed in this hotel. That's why we knew where we were going. We asked to be moved to the second floor, as the room on the first floor is damp. The room was spacious, and everything was fine with us. The breakfasts are wonderful. Sun beds by the pool overlooking the sea are available in the morning. The hotel is located in the center of Chaweng's life, there is everything you want within walking distance, but you don't hear any noise in the room. The staff is very friendly. Maybe we'll come back here again.

I love this hotel. I was originally staying inland in koh samui, just a block or two off the beach, and I was just SO HOT. I came to this hotel for 1 night and was right on the water, with a breeze constantly blowing, and I fell in love with the place. I liked this place so much that I asked if I could stay here long term and I ended up staying for 3 weeks. The rooms are some of the nicest I have stayed at in Thailand with an amazing shower with doors on it! The beds are very soft and so are the pillows. There is a pool right on the beach and the property has a beautiful garden you walk through daily. What more could you ask for? The food is so so, but that's hardly at the top of my list for what makes a place good. We just went out to the millions of restaurants around and weren't bothered by it. The staff are all very friendly as well!
